2.Project Background and Requirements

With the continuous development of medical services and increasingly strict environmental protection requirements, the original sewage treatment facilities of Bengbu Mount Huangshan Hospital can no longer meet the current and future operational needs. As an institution providing continuous medical services, hospitals face unique challenges in sewage treatment:
Strict discharge standards: Hospital wastewater is complex in composition, containing pathogens, drug residues, etc., and must undergo deep treatment to meet discharge or reuse standards, avoiding secondary pollution to the environment.
Space limitations: As a renovation project, efficient processing equipment needs to be installed within a limited existing space, which places high demands on the integration and footprint of the equipment.
Operational stability: The hospital operates 24 hours a day without interruption, and the sewage treatment system must be stable, reliable, and easy to maintain, without affecting the normal order of the hospital.
Cost control requirements: While ensuring treatment effectiveness, hospitals also hope to effectively reduce long-term operational energy consumption and costs.
To solve the above problems, we have customized an integrated MBR (membrane bioreactor) sewage treatment equipment with a processing capacity of 60 tons/day (60TPD).
MBR process is a new water treatment technology that combines membrane separation technology with biological treatment technology. It replaces the traditional secondary sedimentation tank with membrane components, which can efficiently perform solid-liquid separation and obtain stable effluent that can be directly reused.
Core configuration and technical highlights:
Equipment model: MBR-535-15 equipment is used, designed specifically for medium water volume and high standard effluent requirements.
Core membrane components: Equipped with 10 high-performance MBR membranes internally. This membrane has the characteristics of small pore size, high flux, and strong anti pollution ability, which can effectively intercept bacteria, viruses, and large organic molecules in water, ensuring clear and sterile effluent water quality.
Highly integrated: the whole system is integrated in a compact equipment box, occupying a small area, which is very suitable for reconstruction projects such as Mount Huangshan Hospital, greatly saving civil construction costs and space.
Automated operation: The equipment is equipped with a fully automatic control system, which can achieve unmanned operation and automatically complete the entire process of water inlet, treatment, outlet, backwashing, etc., greatly reducing manual management costs.

The operating cost is economical, and the investment return is considerable
Thanks to the high efficiency of MBR process and optimized equipment design, the operating cost of the system is effectively controlled at a low level of 1.8-2 yuan/ton. This includes electricity, medication, and maintenance and replacement costs for membrane components, saving the hospital a significant amount of long-term expenses.
Significant environmental and social benefits
The successful implementation of the project not only solved the hospital's pollution problem and eliminated potential pollution hazards, but also practiced the environmental protection concept of a green hospital through the reuse of reclaimed water, enhanced the hospital's social image, and created a cleaner and more beautiful environment for medical staff and patients.
