Project Status

Delivered and in stable operation

In industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, electronics, and leachate treatment, high concentration ammonia nitrogen wastewater has always been an environmental challenge for enterprises. This type of wastewater is not only difficult to treat and traditional processes have high energy consumption, but also easily leads to substandard effluent quality, facing severe environmental compliance pressure.
This project is located in Bengbu, and the client needs to treat up to 200 tons (200TPD) of high ammonia nitrogen wastewater per day. The core pain points are:
The influent ammonia nitrogen concentration is extremely high: the ammonia nitrogen concentration in the raw water is as high as 6000mg/L, far exceeding the tolerance range of conventional biochemical treatment.
Strict emission standards: It is required that the concentration of ammonia nitrogen in the produced water be stable below 30mg/L, and the removal rate must reach 99.5% or more.
Operating cost sensitivity: Customers urgently need a sustainable solution that can ensure processing efficiency while effectively controlling operating costs.
Faced with this challenge, we provide a solution for ammonia removal membrane system based on PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) hydrophobic membrane, aiming to achieve efficient, stable and economical ammonia nitrogen removal.

2. Project Background and Requirements

This project adopts a complete PTFE deamination membrane treatment process, which achieves efficient separation and recovery of ammonia nitrogen through physical and chemical methods. The entire processing process is divided into four key steps, ensuring the stability and processing effectiveness of the system.
Preprocessing
The raw water first enters the security filter, which effectively removes suspended solids, oil and other impurities in the water, providing protection for the subsequent membrane system and improving the overall stability of operation.
Water inlet regulation
The pre treated wastewater is transported by a lift pump to the raw water tank for critical pH adjustment. By raising the pH value above 11.5, it promotes the efficient conversion of ammonium ions (NH ₄⁺) in water into volatile free ammonia (NH3), creating conditions for membrane separation.
PTFE deamination membrane system
This is the core of the entire process. The regulated wastewater enters the PTFE deamination membrane module. By utilizing the hydrophobic microporous properties of PTFE membrane, only free ammonia molecules can selectively pass through the membrane pores and enter the absorption liquid side from the wastewater side, thereby achieving complete separation of ammonia nitrogen and water. This project uses a total of 36 TMCS-8040 membrane modules, ensuring a processing capacity of 200TPD.
Water production collection
The standard produced water after deamination is collected in the water production tank/pool and can be directly reused or sent to subsequent treatment units, achieving the recycling of water resources.

3.Project effectiveness and economic benefits

Since its delivery, the PTFE deamination membrane system has operated stably and reliably, achieving 24-hour uninterrupted continuous operation and successfully solving the customer's problem of high ammonia nitrogen wastewater treatment.

Key indicators Data performance
Processing power 8.4 m³/h(200 TPD)
Inlet ammonia nitrogen  6000 mg/L
Ammonia nitrogen concentration in produced water < 30 mg/L
Ammonia nitrogen removal rate >99.5%
Operating cost 70-80 yuan/ton

The successful implementation of this project highlights the significant advantages of PTFE deamination membrane technology:
Efficient deamination and stable compliance: The system is capable of treating ultra-high concentration ammonia nitrogen from 6000mg/L to below 30mg/L in one go, with stable effluent quality that fully meets strict discharge or reuse standards.
Low operating costs: By optimizing operating parameters, especially precisely controlling the system temperature at 40-45 ° C, efficient deamination with low energy consumption has been achieved, ultimately controlling the comprehensive operating cost at 70-80 yuan/ton, bringing significant economic benefits to customers.
Stable and reliable operation: PTFE membrane material has excellent chemical stability and anti pollution ability. With perfect pretreatment and automation control, it ensures that the system can operate stably and continuously for a long time, reducing maintenance workload.
