There are many classification methods for membranes, generally divided into organic membranes and inorganic membranes. Compared with other sewage treatment technologies, membrane technology has five distinct characteristics:
1.Membrane separation technology will not change the properties of water, and various substances in water will continue to maintain their original physicochemical properties;
2.Compared with other sewage treatment technologies, membrane treatment technology is cleaner mainly because it does not require the addition or use of any chemicals, and only uses the selective permeability of the membrane for treatment;
3.As a new type of sewage treatment technology, membrane treatment technology is more efficient, not only purifying water, but also separating other substances;
4.Greatly reduce energy consumption, save resources, and save funds compared to traditional separation and distillation engineering;
5.It reduces the installation and maintenance costs of large equipment, and the operation is relatively simple in the actual process.
